Field of sunflowers san jacinto

In a part of the Montes de María, located between the departments of Bolívar and Sucre, grow approximately 180,000 sunflowers that have become a tourist attraction. This field of flowers is located in the municipality of San Jacinto (Bolívar).

According to journalist Edgar Ochoa of Radio Nacional Colombia, when arriving at the municipality from Cartagena, "that large yellow spot that can be seen on the right side of the western trunk causes great curiosity."

For years, this territory was forgotten, but now it reappears to conquer Colombians and foreigners with its beauty. The commitment to tourism that the municipality is making has already begun to bear fruit thanks to large fields of sunflowers that attract the attention of visitors.
